Clive and Pauline Jenkins, a married couple living with dementia, are in the kitchen. Clive, wearing eye-tracking glasses, knows he’s being filmed, and he scans his surroundings for visual prompts. As he attempts to make a cup of tea, the kitchen is arranged to minimize distractions. Clive pours hot water but soon realizes he has mistakenly filled the container for tea bags instead of the cup. His daughter, Kimberley, asks, “Where have you poured the water, Dad?” Clive laughs at the error, but there’s more to this experience than it seems.
